These are inductive sensors sensible to metals and amplified D.C. or A.C. in the M12-M18-M30 versions.
These sensors are part of the ATEX series, have a built-in device that interrupts irreversibly  its functionality when norm limit temperature >+75°C has been exceeded in rigorous respect of values indicated on product label. Such a solution makes the device “safer” in potentially explosive environment. Comply to Directive ATEX 2014/34/EU Group II, Category 3 dusty environments D (zone 22), Directive Electromagnetic Compatibility 2014/30/EU.
